The Board of Trustees of Emirates Canadian University College in Umm Al Quwain, chaired by Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, held its regular meeting.  Al-Shamsi welcomed the members, Dr. Samira Abdul Latif Al Zarouni, Dr. Marilyn Robert,Mr. Bryan Ghalori and Dr. Galal Hatem the president of the college,  Wishing them success in achieving the College objectives and mission.
He said that due to the great achievements of the college, the Council is keen to be more effective through your ideas and support, and to work at developing the legislations and methods in it in order to increase its effectiveness, enhance our success and speed up the college development process.
He emphasized that human development is one of the main concerns of the good leadership, and that education and investment in youth are the focus of sustainable development strategy and the ideal approach to build a modern society. Al Shamsi stressed the idea making the college a place for achieving the ambitions.
The Council reviewed the college future plan which would be adopted in the long term. This plan consolidates learning excellence, enhances the quality of research and the importance and impact of intellectual contributions. In addition to attracting outstanding students, enhancing the status of the College and establishing strategic partnerships with the official agencies of the country.
The trustees approved the updated College policies and the regulations of the Board of Trustees
