Emirates Canadian University College Welcomes Its New Students and Introduces Its Programs

Emirates Canadian University College in Umm Al Quwain organized the annual ceremony on Tuesday to welcome new students. The college usually  organizes this celebration in the first semester of the academic year aiming to welcome fresh students, and introduce them to the college's regulations, ploicies and procedures , and exams’ instructions. 
Dr. Galal Hatem welcomed the new students, stressing that the college provides all its facilities to graduate cadres specialized in thier fields. He advised students to invest their time in acquisition of useful science to achieve their scientific ambitions, enhance their educational competences, improve their university life, and enable them to face labor market challenges.
 
Dr. Hatem said that ,in Fall 2020-2021, ECUC is moving to the new campus to accommodate all the students' academic aspirations and activities. 
   He added that, it is a new stage, which requires a great reliance on students. This educational stage is different from previous ones,where it explores new and advanced skills and abilities, in order to contribute to building the ideal model that our leadership aspires to.
 
Dr. Hani Bakr, Vice President for Academic Affairs,  spoke about academic policies, academic advising procedures, and assessment tools regulations.  stressing that many courses cover a large percentage of practical application, taking into account the labor market needs.
 
During the ceremony, the students were introduced to the academic departments, where Dr. Abdul Ghani Qasim gave a comprehensive presentation on law department.
Dr. Wafaa Tharwat, Head of Mass Communication Department, welcomed new students, and said that obtaining the academic accreditataion of  Mass Communication Program emphasizes its high quality, and studying in this Department promotes the students’ opportunity to do some practical applications in institutions that represent work environment.
