Emirates Canadian University College Provides a Distinctive Learning Environment for People of Determination

Year after year, People of Determination, Deaf, armed by their strong well, have made a long history of achievements and success at all levels.
In accordance with that success and pioneering steps for the rehabilitation and development of scientific cadres, and provide students with science and skills required to meet the accelerated requirements of labor market, Emirates Canadian University College in Umm Al Quwain has comeback using its skills and global experiences to deal with "people of determination", through The adoption of a strategy to develop their skills. For that nobel goal, The college has opened the registration gate for this category to be enrolled in mass communication department. 
This initiative reinforces the directives of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, to support people of determination and provide all facilities that help them to take their role in the development process.
Dr. Galal Hatem, President of Emirates Canadian University College, stressed the importance of promoting the rights of deaf people, and their access to educational opportunities. He said that UAE government gives special importance to educating people of determination and integrating them into higher education, and we are constantly working to develop ECUC’s strategies to care for them, empower them and give them equal opportunities with their peers in the fields of education, to make them productive members of society. 
Emirates Canadian College will provide a learning environment that meets the needs of this category of students, as well as create methods to improve their creativity and innovative to be integrated with other students.
Dr. Hatem said, the facilities provided by the College are not limited to providing daily services; make lives of people of determination simpler, but also to sponsor this category, and provide advanced educational programs meet their aspirations.
He added that the college will give a 50% scholarship to each student, and provide a sign language interpreter in cooperation with UAE Deaf Association, in order to prepare them for integration into society, and enable them to build their independent life.
This initiative, in corporation with UAE Deaf Association, is a new plan, aims to build a better future for them to be self-reliant.
Musabah Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of UAE Deaf Association, expressed his happiness with this great and unique step in Arab and international media, which comes within the framework of implementing the wise leadership directives to pay more attention to people of consideration in all aspects, follow up their issues and interests and promote their talents.
He said, the initiative of Emirates Canadian University College represents a new step towards the college's continuous commitment to support and rehabilitate people of determination, where it will open the door for them to join mass communication classes, spread hope and love messages, and highlight the sincere image of the UAE in supporting all categories of society.
Al Neyadi emphasized the keenness of UAE Deaf Association to provide all success tools to people of determination, especially in academic education field, adopting innovative programs and mechanisms to integrate people of determination into society, to enable them achieve their aspirations and goals as creative power that should be given the opportunity to take its role.
